I saw strawberries in our freezer, and we had a lot of milk we needed to use up (since COVID-19 closed the store I was working at). Thus a simple recipe was born– the berries and milk, plus a little sugar to sweeten it up.
16 medium-sized frozen strawberries
12 frozen or fresh strawberries
1/2 cup white sugar
- Heat 16 medium-sized, frozen strawberries on a sauce pan at medium heat and cover with lid.
- Once soft, mash them with the utensil of your choice (I used a potato masher).
- Add sugar, and stir until you get a puree consistency.
- Keep on low heat.
- Dice 12 strawberries.
- To serve, add the puree first, followed by the diced strawberries. Add milk last.
